System Development Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Hybrid in Kraków, Zabłocie, with 1–3 days per week in the office; business travel of up to 25%.

Salary: 850–1,350 PLN/day on a B2B contract

What you will do

• Develop and deliver system functions for high-voltage inverters and electrified powertrain systems.
• Define system concepts and requirements covering quality, performance, cost, timing, and customer expectations.
• Lead technical discussions with customers and coordinate Hardware, Software, Calibration, Safety, and Test teams.
• Perform root cause analysis, troubleshoot technical issues, and define system-level solutions.
• Support functional safety activities, including Technical Safety Concepts, SFMEA, and FTA in accordance with ISO 26262.
• Monitor technical progress, risks, and mitigation plans while providing technical leadership and mentoring.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in automotive system development, preferably with high-voltage inverters, power electronics, or electrified powertrains.
• Strong understanding of high-voltage inverter functions, motor control strategies, and electric propulsion systems.
• Systems Engineering knowledge covering requirements development, system architecture, integration, verification, and validation.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety and high-voltage safety requirements.
• Experience working with automotive customers, technical stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with diagnostics, CAN/Ethernet vehicle communication, or power supply and management.
• Experience with customer meetings and vehicle testing activities.
