Senior Systems Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Senior Systems Engineer (Cybersecurity): Implementing ISO 15288 Systems Engineering practices for cryptographic and key management solutions with an accent on requirements analysis, architecture decomposition, and the V-Model. Focus on developing high-quality technical artefacts, leading design reviews, and ensuring compliance across complex defense projects.

Location: Maidenhead (GBR). Must be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years to obtain SC clearance.

What you will do

• Implement ISO 15288 Systems Engineering practices across the full product development lifecycle.
• Develop technical solutions for large and complex engineering problems to ensure customer requirements are satisfied.
• Create and review high-quality Systems Engineering artefacts and technical documentation.
• Provide technical direction to ensure optimal approach, architecture, and design implementation.
• Plan and lead internal and external design reviews with senior management and customers.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software architects to ensure design modularity and reuse.

Requirements

• British Citizenship and UK residency (5+ years) required for SC security clearance.
• Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent Defence/Aerospace industry experience.
• Significant experience with Systems Engineering, the V-Model, and associated lifecycles.
• Proficiency with DOORS, UML, SEBoK, Enterprise Architect, and SysML.
• Hands-on experience in hardware, software, or firmware development within embedded environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain SC security clearance (DV clearance is a plus).

Nice to have

• INCOSE recognition (ASEP or CSEP).
• Technical management experience leading teams of systems engineers.
• Experience acting as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a specific domain.
