What you will do

• Develop and execute a risk-based Internal Audit plan with a primary focus on Compliance.
• Maintain and update the audit universe by identifying emerging risks and regulatory requirements.
• Perform audits in accordance with Internal Auditing Methodology and International Standards of Auditing.
• Deliver impactful audit reports featuring well-considered management actions and prompt due dates.
• Drive the organization's Combined Assurance efforts and execute the issues assurance plan.
• Cultivate effective professional relationships with auditees across the organization.

Requirements

• Tertiary honours degree (or equivalent) in Internal Audit, Risk Management, or Law.
• Minimum 5 years of total experience, including 3 years in compliance and 2 years in internal audit.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Financial Industry regulations, specifically AML/CFT.
• Proven ability to perform all stages of an audit project in line with applicable standards.
• Must be based in or able to work from Cape Town or Johannesburg.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Blockchain and Cryptocurrency.
• Relevant professional Compliance Certifications.
• Experience auditing AML regulations across various different countries.
• Experience auditing ISO standards and SOC compliance.
