What you will do

• Define and execute a technology roadmap aligned with long-term business goals and growth.
• Make key architectural decisions to ensure scalability, performance, and long-term sustainability.
• Build, lead, and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership.
• Optimize development processes and workflows to increase delivery speed, quality, and reliability.
• Collaborate closely with founders and leadership to ensure technology drives business impact.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in software engineering (backend, frontend, or fullstack).
• Proven experience building and scaling web and/or mobile applications.
• Hands-on expertise in system architecture, performance optimization, and scaling challenges.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and mentoring technical talent.
• Ability to connect technology decisions with business outcomes in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Kaunas or Vilnius, Lithuania

Nice to have

• Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or SaaS environments.
• Experience building or evolving in-house systems.
• Practical experience applying AI/ML solutions in products or internal tools.
