Salary: $156,000 – $195,000

What you will do

• Build and lead high-performing distributed engineering teams to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality software.
• Own the technical design, architecture, and implementation of genomics tertiary analysis software.
• Collaborate with project and product managers to define requirements, size efforts, and manage dependencies.
• Drive the implementation of engineering best practices and optimize software development processes.
• Manage release planning and represent the software in regulatory (FDA, HIPAA, CAP, CLIA) and client audits.
• Nurture team members through career guidance and continuous performance feedback.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of proven track record in building and managing high-performing engineering teams.
• 8+ years of experience in software development using Java or similar languages.
• Extensive experience building genomics tertiary analysis software for clinical and research use.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Experience developing software in a regulated environment (CAP, CLIA, NYS DOH, FDA, HIPAA).

Nice to have

• Experience in genomics secondary analysis solutions.
• Proficiency in Python.
