TL;DR

Principal Equipment Engineer (Medtech): Driving enterprise-wide equipment reliability and maintenance excellence across manufacturing operations with an accent on TPM principles and the Enterprise Maintenance Excellence roadmap. Focus on implementing preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to achieve zero-loss and zero-downtime manufacturing.

Location: Onsite in North Haven, CT or Mounds View, MN (4 days a week). Requires up to 50% travel.

Salary: $128,000 - $192,000 USD

What you will do

  • Establish best practice standards and principles for equipment requirements and maintenance.
  • Deploy the Enterprise Maintenance Excellence (MEx) roadmap leveraging Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
  • Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies to increase equipment uptime.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team responsible for the global equipment inventory.
  • Apply root cause analysis and advanced problem-solving methodologies to resolve complex equipment issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a large, matrixed organization to ensure compliant and efficient operations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
  • Professional experience in equipment or maintenance engineering.
  • Valid U.S. work authorization (sponsorship is available for this Principal-level role).

Nice to have

  • Degree in mechanical, electrical, reliability engineering, or equipment control.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the application of Total Performance Maintenance (TPM).
  • CMRP or CRL certification.
