What you will do

• Perform fault isolation to identify software bugs, communication errors, or hardware defects.
• Own end-to-end debugging of vehicle-level issues from symptom to root cause.
• Execute structured investigations using data, instrumentation, and experimentation.
• Contribute to validation strategies including bench testing and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL).
• Conduct deep-dive signal diagnostics and timing analysis of ECUs, sensors, and actuators.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve boat designs and service processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems, controls, or vehicle electrical integration.
• BS in Electrical, Computer, or Automotive Engineering.
• Must be based on-site in Torrance, CA.
• Deep familiarity with CAN-based architectures and network debugging tools.
• Proven experience shipping complex hardware-integrated systems into production.
• Ability to work an on-call schedule, including off-hours and weekends.

Nice to have

• Experience with EV or marine electrical architectures.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Rust, or Python for embedded development.
• Experience with model-based design or control algorithm development.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, functional safety, or reliability engineering.
• Expertise with oscilloscopes, data loggers, and ECU flashing tools.
