Location: Los Angeles, CA. Must be a "U.S. Person" (Citizen, Green Card holder, etc.) due to ITAR compliance.

Salary: $160,000 - $200,000 + equity

What you will do

• Architect and evolve real-time, fault-tolerant control software for 20kW+ spacecraft.
• Maintain custom RT Linux distributions and customize UBoot for secure boot and rollback validation.
• Curate device trees across multiple boards to enable hardware-specific features.
• Develop robust tools for rapid code deployment and perform data analysis for anomaly investigation.
• Support integration and testing of spacecraft subsystems and build reliability infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM (CS, EE, Math) or 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Development experience in Rust, C/C++, Python, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
• Fluency with Linux systems programming, driver development, and embedded image building (Buildroot, Yocto, Bitbake).
• Experience with hard real-time embedded systems (bare-metal or RT Linux).
• Must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, etc.).

Nice to have

• Experience with Precision Time Protocol (IEEE1588 PTP).
• Prior experience with spacecraft flight software development.
• Knowledge of CI/CD systems, electronics, and computer architecture.
• Experience with software verification and performance analysis.
