Model Risk Specialist (Fintech): Conducting independent reviews of IRRBB, market, and liquidity risk models to ensure optimal and sustainable decision-making with an accent on model validation and regulatory compliance. Focus on developing toolkits for ongoing monitoring, providing technical challenges to modelling processes, and identifying potential risk enhancements.

Location: Hybrid in Sao Paulo, Brazil (2-3 times/week in office)

What you will do

• Conduct independent reviews of IRRBB, market & liquidity risk, and stress testing models.
• Validate model hypotheses, data, methodologies, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop playbooks and toolkits using Python, SQL, and Scala to optimize model reviews and monitoring.
• Provide effective challenges to modelling processes and engage with analysts to strengthen decision-making tools.
• Report model risk status and independent opinions to senior managers and regulators.

Requirements

• Experience developing or validating market risk, liquidity risk, or stress testing models.
• Technical knowledge of risk metrics (DV01, VaR, Delta EVE, Delta NII, LCR) and pricing models for financial instruments.
• Strong knowledge of risk management regulations (ICAAP, IRRBB, FRTB).
• Proficient programming skills in Python, SQL, or Scala.
• English language proficiency required.
• Ability to build no-code/low-code AI automations using safe and effective usage patterns.

Nice to have

• Master's degree or relevant undergraduate scientific project.
• Financial or risk certifications such as FRM or CFA.
• Experience with Databricks, Github, or Cursor.
• Technical knowledge of finance, ALM, and Hedge Accounting.
