What you will do

• Lead multi-shift manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, reliability, and cost objectives.
• Champion Herman Miller Performance System (HMPS) and Lean principles to eliminate waste and drive continuous improvement.
• Plan and manage plant capital and expense budgets to drive EVA and financial efficiency.
• Oversee workforce development, including staffing levels, performance management, and mentoring of managers.
• Collaborate with engineering and supply management to ensure new products are designed for manufacturability.
• Manage the plant safety program and ensure compliance with environmental goals and federal/state legislation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of management experience in operations and manufacturing processes.
• At least 4 years of senior-level experience leading salaried employees.
• Proven expertise in applying Lean manufacturing principles to lead change initiatives.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and business dynamics.
• Must be based in Toronto, Canada, as the role requires a physical presence on the shop floor.
