Data Science Intern (Summer 2026)

TL;DR

Data Science Intern (NLP/AI): Develop and deploy predictive models from large datasets to drive business outcomes with an accent on natural language processing and generative AI frameworks. Focus on data preprocessing for LLMs, rapidly testing AI agents, RAG, NL2SQL, and evaluating LLM performance across tasks.

Location: In-office 3-5 days a week in Austin, Texas, US

What you will do

• Develop and deploy predictive models to drive business outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data-driven solutions
• Extract insights from large datasets to inform decisions
• Implement data preprocessing and parsing for LLM readiness
• Test frameworks like AI agents, RAG, and NL2SQL in generative AI
• Evaluate and benchmark LLM performance on various tasks
• Share knowledge and mentor within the team

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or quantitative field
• Experience with Python, SQL, or JavaScript
• Knowledge of machine learning, statistical modeling, and LLMs
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate through ambiguous requirements
• Commit to 12-week summer internship, June 8 - August 28 or June 22 - September 11
• In-office 3-5 days a week in Austin, TX

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
