TL;DR
IT Manager (ServiceNow): Responsible for the overall health, stability, and strategic direction of the ServiceNow platform across the organization with an accent on platform architecture, configuration standards, environment management, integrations, upgrades, and release planning. Focus on ensuring security, scalability, compliance, operational excellence, and alignment with business objectives while leading a team of administrators and developers.
Location: Remote (USA: New York, NY; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL). Candidate must be able to submit verification of their legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.
Salary: $140,000-$180,000

What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ServiceNow administrators and developers, managing workload, priorities, and performance goals.
- Own day-to-day operational health of the ServiceNow platform, including stability, availability, performance, and on-call support.
- Develop and enforce standards, SOPs, configuration management, and a governed release process for platform changes.
- Collaborate with ITSM process owners and business stakeholders to enable processes while maintaining platform governance.
- Contribute to IT roadmap, manage vendor relationships, budgets, licensing, and platform risks.
- Drive operational excellence through best practices, AI innovation, metrics, and KPIs.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 8+ years progressive IT experience, 5+ years on ServiceNow in admin/developer/architect/leadership roles.
- 3+ years in leadership/management of technical teams or enterprise applications.
- Hands-on ServiceNow administration in medium/large enterprise, including architecture, CMDB, security, update sets, integrations.
- Experience leading upgrades, releases, lifecycle planning.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; ITIL Foundation or equivalent.
Nice to have
- Designing complex integrations with IAM, monitoring, HR, ERP systems.
- Automation, orchestration, workflow optimization.
- Experience in complex/matrixed organizations, driving adoption and self-service.
- Hybrid/cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS).
