Salary: $170,000 – $210,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead and support the ML research and engineering team, ensuring alignment with product needs and business priorities.
• Collaborate with executives (CTO, CEO) on ML strategy and technical direction.
• Guide the design, training, and shipment of high-quality ML models.
• Mentor researchers and engineers to support their professional and technical growth.
• Drive hiring efforts to expand team capabilities.
• Communicate model performance and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in ML research and shipping production models.
• Strong proficiency with Python and PyTorch.
• Experience collaborating with and mentoring other researchers.
• Ability to align complex technical ML work with business goals.
• Experience communicating research through papers or conferences.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Prior experience managing ML researchers or engineering teams.
• Knowledge of audio models or speech systems (ASR, TTS).
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Background in fast-paced startup environments.
