What you will do

• Own the Go Terraform provider codebase, including architecture, implementation quality, and release readiness.
• Improve Terraform provider reliability and ergonomics, focusing on resource behavior, data sources, and upgrade safety.
• Drive technical strategy for IaC workflows through design documents and RFCs.
• Build practical migration and interoperability paths for existing Terraform users.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to define roadmap priorities and outcomes.
• Monitor customer feedback and OSS issues to continuously iterate on the Terraform experience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in developer platforms, infrastructure tooling, or distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go with a track record of shipping production-grade developer tooling.
• Deep experience with Terraform provider behavior, declarative resource models, and lifecycle edge cases.
• Strong understanding of schema design, versioning, and backwards compatibility.
• Experience with testing strategies for IaC tooling (unit, integration, E2E) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong written communication skills for creating clear technical design docs and RFCs.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with TypeScript-based tooling.
• Experience with hirify.global CLI workflows.
• Knowledge of GitHub-centric automation.
