Senior Financial Analyst (Turnaround & Restructuring)

Location: Boston, MA; willingness to travel as needed

Salary: $80,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Support day-to-day activities for Turnaround & Restructuring client service teams.
• Execute multiple tasks across consulting engagements, including financial modeling and client presentations.
• Build 13-week cash flow, three-statement, and pro-forma scenario models.
• Collaborate with T&R experts, BRG professionals, other firms, and client contacts to achieve engagement objectives.
• Prepare reports, written analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables.
• Support marketing, client pitches, and product and practice development in a growing consulting practice.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of work experience, ideally in consulting or professional services.
• Experience with financial modeling and analysis, particularly in Excel, including three-statement models, cash flows, and scenario analyses.
• Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data and develop insights and recommendations from qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with junior and senior team members, senior management, stakeholders, and other professionals.
• Mature presence, empathy, intellectual curiosity, ability to learn quickly, and strong problem-solving and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, manage multiple tasks, prioritize changing demands, and learn quickly.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Familiarity with financial research tools such as Capital IQ and Bloomberg.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Nice to have

• CFA, CPA or equivalent certification, or technical/GAAP accounting expertise.
