What you will do

• Develop and mechanically design child car seats from concept phase through to start of production.
• Design and modify product components and assemblies in line with functional and quality requirements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and BOMs for internal and external stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications while ensuring clarity and feasibility.
• Develop innovative mechanical solutions and visualize ideas through hand sketches.
• Support prototype construction and design verification using 3D printing.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Development, or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience in the development of technical consumer products, ideally in child safety or automotive accessories.
• Very good knowledge of PTC Creo (3D CAD) and Windchill (PLM).
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and tolerances (e.g., injection molding, metal forming).
• Hands-on experience in prototype construction and 3D printing.
• Fluent in German and English.
