TL;DR

Business Development Manager (Intermediaries): Deliver specialised support and service for new and existing mortgage accounts, manage established territory, and build collaborative relationships with mortgage intermediary partners with an accent on hitting ambitious targets and broker appointments. Focus on developing business virtually and face-to-face, tracking risks in the intermediary mortgage market, and educating intermediaries on regulatory changes.

Location: Must be based in Harrow, Watford or North West London, hybrid working splitting time between on-the-road client meetings, face-to-face interactions and home office, with travel expected throughout the country.

Salary: £67,023 - £74,470

What you will do

  • Deliver specialised support and service for new and existing accounts and respond to complex customer enquiries.
  • Manage an established territory to achieve results and hit ambitious targets.
  • Build collaborative relationships with mortgage intermediary partners through broker appointments virtually and face-to-face.
  • Track risks within the intermediary mortgage market and broker panel.
  • Educate intermediaries on identifying and overcoming existing and emerging risks and manage breaches.

Requirements

  • Two years of strong business development and/or relationship management skills, preferably within an intermediated environment
  • Good understanding of the buy-to-let mortgage market landscape covering regulatory, technical, and legislative changes and opportunities.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills including face-to-face, telephone, and virtual environments.
  • Effective time management and planning skills.
  • Experience in financial services, preferably mortgages.
  • Ability to read, understand, and use data effectively; in-depth understanding of risk, compliance, and regulatory changes.
