What you will do

• Lead AAA-level character production from modeling and texturing through to in-engine implementation.
• Collaborate with Art Directors, Animation, Technical Art, and Design teams to ensure artistic alignment.
• Develop and optimize character production pipelines and workflows for maximum efficiency.
• Review work from internal team members and outsource artists, providing detailed constructive feedback.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and task priorities to meet high-quality deliverables on time.
• (Principal level) Define the project's character art direction, visual quality bars, and organizational standards.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience (Senior) or 8+ years (Principal) in game development with at least one shipped game.
• Portfolio demonstrating high-quality, photorealistic character art presented in-engine.
• Proficiency in Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
• Professional experience with Unreal or Unity game engines.
• Must be based in the USA or Canada and able to work Pacific Time Zone (PST) business hours.
• Ability to travel internationally 1-3 times per year for business.

Nice to have

• Professional fluency in English and Korean.
• Experience with multi-platform (PC/Console) development.
• Experience managing outsource vendors and defining art style.
• Deep expertise in specific areas such as clothing or hair.
