Network Engineer (Cisco)

TL;DR

Network Engineer (Cisco): Designing and deploying optimal networking and connectivity solutions for a global financial services firm with an accent on BGP, OSPF, and MPLS. Focus on implementing complex routing and migration technologies across a large-scale data center environment.

Location: Hybrid: Norcross, Georgia (1-2 days remote per week)

What you will do

• Design and deploy networking and connectivity solutions based on client and business unit requirements.
• Prepare formal proposals and supporting documentation for network connectivity and configurations.
• Manage daily technical interactions with telecom providers and 3rd party network vendors.
• Analyze network traffic and perform troubleshooting during overnight maintenance windows.
• Participate in disaster recovery exercises and pre-production certification testing.
• Coordinate cross-functional operations to ensure data communications projects meet expectations.

Requirements

• Expert level experience with at least two of: BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco iOS, XR, Nexus, ASR 9000, CRS, and GSR.
• 4+ years of experience with IPv4 and/or IPv6 routing and migration technologies.
• 5+ years of experience in design, planning, and implementation of telecom technology projects.
• 3+ years of service provider experience, preferably within a Data Center environment.
• CCNP Certification or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Firewalls, ASA, and F5 load balancers.
