Location: Full-time onsite role based in the Memphis, TN region, with significant focus on Texas projects. Willingness to travel frequently to Texas for agency meetings, hearings, and site visits required.

What you will do

• Lead preparation, submission, and management of Texas power generation permits including TCEQ NSR, PSD, Title V, and Permit by Rule for gas turbines.
• Manage ERCOT generation resource registration, interconnection studies, and related filings.
• Coordinate technical documentation, emissions modeling, BACT analyses, noise studies for permit applications.
• Build relationships with Texas agencies like TCEQ, ERCOT, RRC to expedite reviews.
• Develop permitting strategies and timelines for aggressive project schedules.
• Track compliance, support audits, monitor regulations, and provide risk assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Law, Energy Engineering, or related field.
• Deep expertise in power generation permitting in Texas.
• Strong project management, technical writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work extended hours and travel frequently to Texas.
• Detail-oriented, proactive mindset in fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale on-site generation projects (>50 MW) for data centers in Texas.
• Familiarity with BACT/LAER, air dispersion modeling, emissions controls for gas turbines.
• Knowledge of Texas Senate Bill 6 / data center power incentives.
• Background in construction and operational phases of power plants.
• Work with consultants on noise, traffic, cultural resources, endangered species.
