What you will do

• Investigate residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve legal and insurance claims.
• Determine the cause and origin of structural failures, building envelope damage, and construction defects.
• Conduct field investigations, gather photographic evidence, and oversee on-site testing.
• Prepare detailed oral and written technical reports and provide expert testimony in litigation matters.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to scope and budget.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or higher.
• P.E. license required in the state of employment or the ability to obtain it quickly.
• 5+ years of professional experience in civil engineering.
• Must be based in the United States (specifically Washington state/Seattle area).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for data collection and fact-finding.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-assisted engineering and design software.

Nice to have

• Experience in Project Management.
• Previous experience in Field Investigation.
