Sr. Director, Therapeutic Area Insights – Neuro & Other Rare (Biopharma)

Location: Hybrid role based out of the Bridgewater, New Jersey office, with remote work available most of the time and in-person collaboration as needed. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.

Salary: $214,000–$292,000 annual.

What you will do

• Lead forecasting, insights, and analytics strategy for a therapeutic area portfolio spanning DMD, ALS, and Stargardt Disease.
• Advise Therapeutic Area leadership and Global Program Teams on data-driven portfolio, go-to-market, and competitive strategy decisions.
• Design and lead end-to-end strategic research projects, from defining objectives through execution, interpretation, and executive communication.
• Manage external vendors across market research, competitive intelligence, analytics, and forecasting, including scope, RFPs, methodologies, and budgets.
• Guide long-range demand and sales forecasting models, scenario analysis, and critical business assumptions.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team while coordinating insights and analytics approaches with colleagues in EMEA and Japan.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, statistics, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic consulting, market research, or business development within the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Deep experience with one-time or specialized in vivo or ex vivo therapies administered in treatment centers, including gene therapies, gene editing, or cell therapies.
• Proven leadership experience selecting, developing, and mentoring high-performing teams.
• Ability to transform complex data into clear strategic narratives for senior leadership.
• High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with strong organizational and analytical skills.
