TL;DR

Vehicle Program Planner (Automotive): Shaping and managing integrated program timing plans for vehicle and powertrain programs with an accent on critical path methodology and risk management. Focus on driving clarity in ambiguous environments, optimizing the Global Development Process (GxDP), and presenting strategic timing recommendations to senior leadership.

Location: Hybrid in Warren, Michigan (minimum 3 days per week in office)

What you will do

  • Develop and manage integrated program timing plans aligned with the Global Development Process (GxDP).
  • Conduct timing analysis and risk management to identify critical path issues and suggest mitigation options.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of timing templates, standards, and tools for the program development group.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Quality teams.
  • Synthesize program data and present clear recommendations and status updates to senior management.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements in timing and program management methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant post-graduation experience in program management, planning, or engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies, including critical path and risk management.
  • Experience using enterprise scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Momentum, or GSTS.
  • Must have valid US work authorization; the company does not provide immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of the Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP).
  • Experience leading timing workshops or cross-functional reviews.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority and manage multiple complex stakeholders.
