CNC Machine Post Processor Developer

What you will do

• Implement post logic including formatting rules, modal behavior, machining cycles, and kinematic handling for correctness and reliability.
• Validate G-code output through structured testing, iteration, and real-world machine verification.
• Build automation and workflow extensions using the Cimatron API for utilities and repeatable processing.
• Translate CNC documentation and NC programming manuals into deterministic post logic and API implementations.
• Support deployment and commissioning via remote sessions and occasional onsite visits.
• Collaborate with support, applications, and development teams; document post behavior and contribute to improvements.

Requirements

• German and English proficiency for technical communication and documentation.
• Practical experience with CNC machine tools and programming (5-axis preferred).
• CAD/CAM knowledge (ideally Cimatron) and experience generating/validating NC output.
• Programming experience (C#, C++, VB or similar).
• Strong math foundation (vectors, geometry for machining).
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer support.
• Vocational training or hands-on experience (CNC machinist/technician or equivalent).
