Salary: $175,000—$215,000 USD

What you will do

• Collaborate on reliable systems for ride-hailing and real-time communications between cars and offboard infrastructure.
• Manage end-to-end system availability and performance through measurement and automated solutions.
• Participate in the full service lifecycle from inception and design through deployment and operation.
• Develop software to improve system architecture and telemetry to prevent outages and reduce recovery time.
• Serve as frontline defense for the ride-hailing service within a sustainable on-call incident response team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience writing clean, efficient code in C++, Java, and/or Python.
• Strong interest and enthusiasm for distributed systems and production engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or similar professional experience.
• Must be based in or able to work from Mountain View or San Francisco, California.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
• Demonstrated ability as an individual contributor producing scalable, high-quality software.
