Location: Remote (Must be based in the United States)

Salary: $145,000–$155,000 annually plus annual incentive eligibility

What you will do

  • Lead genetic selection strategy and provide long-term direction for product development across the Northern Cornbelt.
  • Define and execute 3–5 year genetic selection and product strategies aligned with regional market needs.
  • Review genetic libraries and research plots to identify high-potential trait combinations.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to translate genetic insights into product positioning and messaging.
  • Deliver market analysis, competitive insights, and product training to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with major seed genetics organizations to identify emerging innovations.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD preferred) or 15+ years of relevant experience in seed genetics, breeding, or field research.
  • Extensive experience in genetic evaluation and seed industry product development.
  • Deep understanding of genetic traits, breeding systems, and agricultural production environments.
  • Ability to interpret complex biological and agronomic data into commercial insights.
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, and sales.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75–85%) across growing and non-growing seasons.
