GIS Specialist (Puerto Rico)

Must be based in Puerto Rico, able to commute to Guaynabo office and travel across the island up to 25% as needed. Remote position requiring office visits for meetings and projects. No relocation assistance.

What you will do

• Perform data capture, updates, and analysis within ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
• Manage and document geodatabases, keeping metadata updated.
• Design and develop maps for hardcopy and website use.
• Employ remote sensing data including LiDAR to enhance maps, update elevations, and classify surfaces.
• Support internal and external training and capacity building, developing and delivering curricula and materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, geography, planning or related field; or Associate’s with 2-3+ years GIS experience.
• 2+ years managing cadastral data creation/editing with ESRI ArcGIS suite.
• 2+ years implementing GIS concepts: spatial projections, datums, REST services, feature editing, cartography, geodatabase management.
• 2+ years GPS data collection, ESRI mobile solutions (Field Apps, Survey123, QuickCapture), incorporating survey data into geodatabases.
• 1+ years supporting/leading GIS-related trainings (in-person/virtual).
• Fluency in both English and Spanish required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust.
• Ability to travel up to 25% in Puerto Rico.

• GIS workflow automation with Python and Safe FME.
• Experience with Azure-hosted GIS solutions.
