Lab Technician

TL;DR

Lab Technician (Manufacturing): Performing laboratory tests and analyses on raw materials and intermediate products in a quartz processing facility with an accent on quality control and process optimization. Focus on conducting particle size analysis, color analysis, accurate documentation, and equipment maintenance.

Location: Onsite in Randolph, MN (initial in-person training at Le Sueur, MN facility)

Salary: $17.15–$20.04 / hour

What you will do

• Collect samples of raw materials and intermediate products according to procedures
• Conduct tests including particle size analysis (sieve, laser diffraction) and color analysis
• Communicate results, process non-conforming materials, and input status into Oracle system
• Set up, operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment
• Complete paperwork, keep work area clean, and ensure safe operations per SOPs
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Industrial work experience
• Ability to read and write in English for documentation
• Basic computer skills
• All necessary safety certifications
• Physical ability to lift 60 lbs, stand 12 hours, work outdoors in all weather, handle chemicals, wear PPE including respirator (clean-shaven face required)

• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control software
• Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
