What you will do

• Lead the development and maintenance of the cyber security risk framework and methodologies.
• Design and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity risk oversight program aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct technical risk reviews and evaluate business initiatives with cybersecurity implications.
• Perform review and challenge of first-line defense risk management processes and communicate risk opinions to senior management.
• Provide subject matter expertise during response to major cyber incidents and cybersecurity-related privacy events.
• Manage relationships with external cybersecurity risk experts and provide regular reporting to senior committees.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of related work experience, with 5+ years at the management level.
• Practical experience in cybersecurity risk oversight within the financial services sector.
• Advanced knowledge of risk frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
• Current work authorization for Canada is required.
• Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CISA, CISSP, or CCSP.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with the COBIT risk framework.
• Experience in cybersecurity risk consulting or cyber security audit.
