Location: Hybrid in Mountain View, CA, US with 2-3 days in office per week

What you will do

• Own architecture for multi-tenant cloud platform spanning control and data planes across AWS, GCP, Azure, and on-premises.
• Design tenant provisioning, lifecycle management, cluster orchestration, and self-service APIs.
• Build high-throughput data paths with strong isolation, security, and resource governance.
• Drive architectural reviews, RFCs, coding standards, and partner with SRE/DevOps on observability and capacity planning.
• Mentor engineers and set technical direction for the platform team.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building/operating multi-tenant SaaS platforms at scale (silo/pool models, noisy neighbor mitigation, quotas, lifecycle automation)
• Knowledge of data isolation (schema-per-tenant, row-level security, encryption)
• Proven control/data plane experience with Kubernetes (operators, CRDs, webhooks, RBAC).
• Deep expertise in AWS/GCP/Azure (VPC, IAM, EKS/GKE/AKS, Terraform/Pulumi).
• Distributed systems fundamentals (HA, observability with OpenTelemetry/Prometheus, zero-trust security).
• Actively use AI coding assistants (Claude, Cursor, Copilot) for infrastructure tasks and evaluate AI outputs
• AI literacy: integrate AI into workflow, craft prompts, use for research/content with critical judgment
