Location: Remote from anywhere in Canada. Optional access to offices in Montreal and Toronto.
Salary: $160k–220k CAD base, plus equity, performance increases, health/dental benefits, and paid time off.

What you will do
- Lead team protecting platform and customers from fraud, abuse, and financial risk while enabling growth and great customer experience.
- Own fraud operations workload, capacity, roadmap, and vendor relationships.
- Partner with data science on detection systems, experimentation, and risk decisioning.
- Drive risk management strategy, policies, and technology with engineering, design, product, operations, support, and compliance teams.
- Build fraud reporting, optimize rules, champion UX improvements for fraud/security controls.
- Create performance-oriented culture, scale operations across products.
Requirements
- Fluency in English required due to English-speaking customers and platform nature.
- 5+ years full-time in risk management at a fintech company.
- Experience with fraud prevention tools/technology and building scalable risk operations in high-growth.
- Strong intuition balancing automation, controls, customer experience.
- Capable leader passionate about high-performance teams, collaboration with technical teams, data-driven culture.
- Thrive in fast-paced environment, build stakeholder/vendor relationships.
Nice to have
- Quantitative background in data, statistics, math.
- Experience with machine learning in risk management.
- Previous consumer banking experience.
