Senior Product Support Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Product Support Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment): Provide technical support for complex manufacturing systems with an accent on diagnosing failures, coordinating factory and field resources, and resolving customer escalations. Focus on performing failure analyses, developing troubleshooting guides, and delivering training on system operation and maintenance.

Location: Hsinchu, Taiwan (onsite). Must be able to travel 20-30% domestically and internationally.

What you will do

• Respond to customer and field inquiries on system operation, maintenance, and process performance.
• Diagnose system failures hands-on or remotely and coordinate resources for resolutions.
• Perform failure analyses and recommend equipment returns or corrective actions.
• Develop technical documents like procedures, troubleshooting guides, and bulletins.
• Participate in account meetings, escalations, design reviews, FMEA, NPI, and quality assurance.
• Provide after-hours support and instructional presentations to customers and field personnel.

Requirements

• B.S. in technical field (EE preferred) + 8 years in field service, applications engineering, or customer support in high-tech manufacturing.
• Semiconductor capital equipment experience required.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, and cross-functional team collaboration skills.
• Good communication and ability to multi-task in a matrixed organization.
• Ability to travel 20-30% domestically and internationally.

• Experience interfacing with marketing and sales for product roadmaps.
