TL;DR

Professional Services Consultant (hirify.global ONE): Configure, test, and deliver cloud-based point-of-sale solutions for retail merchants with an accent on best practices, requirements gathering, and system integrations. Focus on leading design sessions, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring successful project implementations within time and budget constraints.

Location: Hybrid UK Birmingham Office. Travel will be required.

What you will do

• Manage client expectations and drive exceptional client experiences through collaboration with stakeholders.
• Leverage industry best practices to configure, document, test, and deliver POS solutions.
• Lead design sessions, define tasks, estimate efforts, and work with project managers for timely delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and functional issues including applications, integrations, networks, and hardware.
• Provide end-user training, on-site support for go-lives, and mentorship to junior team members.
• Participate in sales processes with effort estimates and contribute to organizational methodologies.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate fluently in English (written and spoken)
• Experience working with system integrations, retail data, relational/non-relational databases.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, technical aptitude, and general understanding of networking (VPN, firewall).
• Strong communication, documentation, presentation, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Ability to work remotely efficiently and deliver results on time.
• Experience in retail highly preferred; flexibility, adaptability, and innovation mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience in POS implementations or comparable roles.
• Experience with other retail domains (merchandising, sales audit, eComm).
• AWS expertise, POSTMAN, REST API, Jira, Confluence, M365.
• Understanding of modern security, compliance, Agile projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field.
