Field Service Technician (3rd Shift)

Focus on diagnosing and repairing mechanical embossers, thermal laminators, magstripe/chip writers, and related systems using test equipment and hand tools.

On-site in Columbus, OH area (Must be local or able to drive to customer sites daily; valid driver's license required)

$22.68-$35.65 per hour

What you will do

• Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on electromechanical systems including cleaning, calibration, part replacement, and software adjustments.
• Diagnose and resolve issues using voltmeters, laptops, repair manuals, and hand tools on embossers, laminators, magstripe/chip writers, and UV curing equipment.
• Drive to customer sites daily, manage service calls via dispatch system, and maintain trunk inventory.
• Interact with customer staff, resolve issues independently, and adapt to customer culture while upholding company values.
• Participate in training, assist junior staff, and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum 2 years electromechanical technician experience
• Proficient problem-solving, troubleshooting, PC skills, and relevant software
• Valid driver's license; ability to drive to multiple sites daily
• Willingness to work 3rd shift, flexible hours, on-call, overtime, and lift 70 lbs

Nice to have

• Associates degree in Electronics or related field
• Additional field service or hirify.global central issuance experience
• Proficiency in electro-mechanics, digital electronics, and test equipment
