Field Service Technician (Electromechanical): Provide preventative and emergency maintenance on identity security equipment including card printers, embossers, and laminators with an accent on electromechanical repairs, diagnostics, and calibration. Location: On-site in Columbus, OH Area (United States), 2nd shift 4PM-12:30AM, daily travel to customer sites, valid driver's license required
$22.68-$35.65 per hour

What you will do
- Perform high-quality preventative and emergency maintenance on equipment including mechanical embossers, thermal imaging, laminating, magstripe/chip writing, and UV curing.
- Test, diagnose, and resolve issues using tools like voltmeters, laptops, hand tools, and service manuals.
- Clean, calibrate, and replace components such as rollers, sensors, motors, belts, and bearings.
- Maintain trunk inventory, report service activities, and manage calls via dispatch system.
- Drive to customer sites daily, interact with operations staff, and improve customer relations.
- Participate in training, assist junior staff, and contribute to process improvements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years electromechanical technician experience
- Proficient problem-solving, troubleshooting, PC proficiency, and relevant software.
- Willingness to work 2nd shift, flexible hours, on-call, travel, and lift up to 70 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive to customer sites daily
Nice to have
- Associates degree in Electronics or related field.
- Additional field service or central issuance experience.
- Proficiency in electro-mechanics, digital electronics, and test equipment.
