What you will do

• Lead initiatives to optimize, secure, and enhance database infrastructure across on-premises and Azure environments.
• Administer and tune SQL Server and Oracle databases to ensure high performance, availability, and reliability.
• Provide day-to-day operational support, including monitoring, performance tuning, and incident response.
• Implement and manage high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as Always On Availability Groups and Data Guard.
• Collaborate with program managers and development teams to ensure technical designs comply with architecture standards.
• Develop database strategies and roadmaps to enable scalability and growth for a large-scale organization.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA to accommodate the annual onsite requirement in New York.
• 5+ years of experience in database administration within large enterprise environments.
• Deep expertise in SQL Server and Oracle platforms, including indexing and query optimization.
• Proven experience with database migrations to cloud platforms, specifically Azure.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, T-SQL, PL/SQL, or Python.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (preferred).

Nice to have

• Experience with database ecosystems on both Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Ability to present complex technical ideas in business-friendly language.
