What you will do

• Develop and implement software asset management (SAM) policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure legal compliance.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all software assets, including licenses, contracts, and entitlements.
• Conduct regular audits to verify software installations and resolve license compliance disputes.
• Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to plan and optimize software purchases and licensing agreements.
• Monitor and report on software usage metrics to identify cost-saving and optimization opportunities.
• Negotiate software contracts and licensing agreements with vendors to obtain favorable terms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in software asset management or related ITAM roles.
• Strong understanding of software licensing, compliance, audits, and SaaS governance.
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (IT, Procurement, Legal, Finance).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ITIL or other asset management frameworks.
• Professional certifications in software asset management, such as CSAM or CHAMP.
