Location: Must be based in or be able to relocate to: Netherlands, Serbia, Germany, Cyprus, Spain, Czech Republic, Poland, or Armenia. Hybrid and remote options are available.

What you will do

• Own the product vision and roadmap for the Kotlin plugin across short, mid, and long-term goals.
• Perform daily dogfooding and validate the developer experience first-hand in IntelliJ IDEA.
• Build prototypes and proofs-of-concept using AI coding agents to validate new capabilities.
• Maintain reference Kotlin projects that serve as showcases, demos, and regression test beds.
• Collaborate with the Kotlin language team, framework partners, and marketing to align releases.
• Represent the product externally through blog posts, meetups, and major conferences like KotlinConf and Devoxx.

Requirements

• Professional software development experience in Java or Kotlin is mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience in technical product management or a comparable role in a complex technical domain.
• Hands-on approach: ability to manage from the editor rather than through reports and meetings.
• Experience with AI coding tools and agents.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills for technical and executive audiences.
• Ability to define clear roadmaps, problem statements, and success criteria while making explicit trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Experience developing IntelliJ plugins or working with the IntelliJ Platform SDK.
• Experience building evaluation pipelines, benchmarks, or quality measurement systems.
• History of giving technical talks or publishing content for developer audiences.
