What you will do

• Develop and maintain Linux-based software and protocol stacks, including security components, cloud-native services, and VPN solutions for Top Secret environments.
• Design, implement, and validate MANET topology control algorithms on specialized hardware for directional data links.
• Create routing solutions covering failover, backup routes, multicast, and IPv6 support for high-speed airborne networks and UAV swarms.
• Prototype emerging technologies like virtualization, blockchain-based trust models, and secure cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, external partners, and research organizations on product development and R&D projects.
• Mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and document technical insights to foster continuous learning.

Requirements

• Strong experience in software development and protocol implementation on Linux, ideally in defence or aerospace.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity and cloud platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, Azure/AWS) applied to communication systems.
• Hands-on experience with routing solutions for high-speed networks, MANET, topology control protocols, and directional radio links.
• Comfortable at software-hardware intersection, collaborating with hardware engineers.
• PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Ability to pass security vetting for Top Secret Sweden / UE Secret clearance; citizenship obligations may apply.
