What you will do

• Design and implement features across the database stack, from the Cypher language implementation to cluster networking.
• Develop and maintain the Infinigraph (sharding) and Composite (distributed query execution) products.
• Collaborate through daily stand-ups, frequent pair programming, design meetings, and retrospectives.
• Debug complex issues, fix test failures, and document new features.
• Research and experiment with the latest developments in distributed systems to grow the product and the team.

Requirements

• Experience developing production-level software.
• Knowledge of Java, Scala, or similar languages.
• Ability to work independently within a flexible software development organization.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate on complex technical topics.

Nice to have

• Understanding of database internals, compilers, or query languages.
• Experience with asynchronous and reactive programming.
• Experience with distributed systems through usage, administration, or development.
• Interest in recent academic or industrial distributed systems research.
