Software Engineer - Core Database (Kernel)

What you will do

• Build and ship features for the core of the graph database.
• Develop high-quality, testable, and efficient code.
• Work on storage engines, transaction handling, indexes, data import, and page cache.
• Contribute to feature discussions and roadmap prioritization.
• Evaluate research papers and integrate relevant technologies into the database core.
• Develop independent product enhancements and integrations during dedicated project weeks.

Requirements

• Experience designing multithreaded systems and algorithms.
• Deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proficiency in Java or a C-style programming language.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of performance profiling and optimization.
• Experience leading and delivering development projects.
• Good communication skills and willingness to engage in open, constructive technical discussions.

Nice to have

• Experience with database management systems.
• Deep JVM experience.
• Experience working with large codebases.
