What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize distributed data systems using Kafka, Flink, Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Build low-latency, high-throughput pipelines capable of handling billions of events per day.
• Translate business requirements into scalable architectural patterns for data modeling and orchestration.
• Implement AI infrastructure to support agent-based or Model Context Protocol (MCP) enabled workflows.
• Mentor other engineers and establish high engineering standards through code reviews and software craftsmanship.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and AI teams to drive platform adoption.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Data, Platform, or Software Engineering.
• Proven expertise in building and scaling distributed systems and data platforms.
• Deep hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Proficiency in Scala, Java, or Python.
• Expertise in SQL and performance tuning for analytical and transactional workloads.
• Must be based in Brazil.

Nice to have

• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or modern AI infrastructure paradigms.
• Familiarity with MLOps and feature stores.
• Knowledge of data governance principles and observability stacks.
