Cybersecurity Presales Engineer (Retail & Media)

TL;DR

Cybersecurity Presales Engineer (Cybersecurity): Providing technical advisory and presales support for enterprise customers in the Retail and Media sectors with an accent on security architecture and solution implementation. Focus on executing PoCs, designing network security architectures, and leading technical workshops.

Location: Must be based in Germany. Remote work available, but candidates in Frankfurt, Munich, or Greater Ruhrgebiet are preferred. Moderate travel (20–50%) is required.

What you will do

• Support sales teams through customer meetings, demos, RfX responses, and proof of concept (PoC) activities.
• Identify client needs and implement the most suitable hirify.global cybersecurity solutions.
• Design tailored security and network architectures for partners and customers.
• Lead customer workshops, technical presentations, and enablement activities.
• Collaborate with senior Systems Engineers and Solution Architects on complex opportunities.
• Continuously expand knowledge of hirify.global technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in Cyber Security or Network Security (e.g., firewalling, SOC, SecOps, cloud security).
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, routing, switching, SDN) and security concepts (NGFW, IDS/IPS, encryption).
• Fluency in both German and English and confidence presenting in both languages.
• Self-motivated mindset with high personal responsibility for customer projects.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to develop workshop capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with FortiOS or similar security platforms.
• Exposure to Zero Trust, SASE, or data center architectures (ACI, NSX-T).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or Security Operations (SIEM, SOAR).
• Skill in infrastructure automation or scripting using Ansible or Terraform.
• Familiarity with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIS2, GDPR, or BSI.
