Product Manager - Streaming

TL;DR

Product Manager - Streaming: Own and prioritise roadmap for backend that powers video streaming at scale including content packaging, CDN delivery, play-services, and VOD pipeline with an accent on live streaming from sports to news. Focus on leading full product lifecycle, championing streaming quality metrics like startup errors and buffer ratio, and partnering with engineering for low-latency resilient experiences.

Location: Hybrid in Stockholm, Sweden (at least three days a week in the office)

What you will do

• Own and prioritise team roadmap based on customer value and business impact
• Lead full product lifecycle from discovery and ideation to launch, validation, and improvement
• Initiate product initiatives and lead projects with stakeholders
• Use qualitative insights, quantitative data, and experimentation to guide decisions
• Collaborate with development team and align product, data, tech, and business stakeholders
• Champion live streaming quality partnering with engineering and Technical Operations Center
• Define and track streaming Quality of Experience metrics like startup errors, buffer ratio, join time

Requirements

• 5+ years as Product Manager, Product Owner, or Project Manager in digital products
• Strong experience in agile product discovery and impact-driven delivery
• Comfortable working with technical teams and curious about streaming domain (CDNs, video packaging, protocols)
• Data-informed decision-making: defining metrics, dashboards, challenging assumptions
• Confident communicator to align diverse stakeholders in complex organisations
• Structured, outcome-driven, motivated by measurable impact in fast-moving environments

Nice to have

• Knowledge of video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH, CMAF, low-latency variants)
• Familiarity with DRM systems (Widevine, FairPlay, PlayReady)
• Experience from subscription-based or consumer streaming services
