TL;DR

SME III Technology Capabilities (Cybersecurity SME): Provides senior-level cybersecurity leadership and technical expertise across enterprise IT environments with an accent on design, implementation, and oversight of cybersecurity architectures, policies, and controls in compliance with DoD RMF, NIST 800-53, CMMC. Focus on cyber risk management, threat mitigation, security engineering, incident response, and advising government stakeholders.

Location: Washington, DC. TS/SCI clearance required (SAP eligible). Security clearances granted only to U.S. citizens. Must meet eligibility for access to classified information.

Company

Supports the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)), specifically the Assistant Secretary of War for Mission Capabilities (ASW(MC)).

What you will do

• Lead enterprise security architecture and Zero Trust design.
• Implement secure system integration and cyber controls.
• Manage cyber risk (RMF, POA&M, ATO support).
• Enforce cyber governance, policy, and compliance.
• Advise PMO, AO, ISSM/ISSO as senior cyber advisor.
• Lead cybersecurity engineers and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 15 years technical expertise in cyber engineering and cyberspace test/evaluation; 10 years project management.
• 10 years supporting analysis, assessment, testing of cyber capabilities.
• 10 years evaluating sensor systems and recommending risk assessments.
• Experience with AI (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) in daily cybersecurity work.
• DoD-compliant certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CASP+, OSCP, GIAC, or CCSP.
• TS/SCI clearance (SAP eligible); U.S. citizenship required.
