What you will do

• Build and drive the transition to a new Data Platform utilizing Dagster, dbt, AWS ECS, and GCP BigQuery.
• Develop custom tooling, monitoring, data-checks, and CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency for other data teams.
• Maintain and optimize large-scale ELT pipelines moving terabytes of data from MySQL to BigQuery.
• Ensure daytime data syncs are optimized to avoid impacting source system performance.
• Deliver and take ownership of critical reports used for executive board decisions.

Requirements

• Substantial hands-on experience in Data Engineering and Software Engineering with high-volume, business-critical pipelines.
• Practical expertise with Dagster, dbt, Google BigQuery (GBQ), and AWS (ECS).
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including CI/CD, testing, and design patterns.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Knowledge of infrastructure tools such as Docker and Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Business fluent English.
