Senior Data Scientist (Hospitality)

TL;DR

Senior Data Scientist (ML/Statistics): Developing and applying machine learning and statistical models for business-relevant use cases with an accent on translating broad business questions into clear analytical approaches. Focus on taking ownership of projects from initial problem framing through to implementation and evaluation.

Location: Hybrid in Munich, Germany (Open to relocation)

Salary: €80,000 – €100,000 p.a.

What you will do

• Develop and apply machine learning and statistical models for business-relevant use cases.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities.
• Translate broad business questions into structured analytical approaches.
• Own the project lifecycle from initial problem framing to implementation and evaluation.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate insights into practical decisions.
• Improve organizational decision-making through a pragmatic mix of data analysis and statistics.

Requirements

• Several years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with common data science libraries.
• Proficiency in SQL and confident handling of complex datasets.
• Deep knowledge of classical machine learning methods and statistical modeling.
• Must be based in the Munich area or open to relocating to Germany.
• English: Very good communication skills required.

Nice to have

• Experience working in data-intensive business environments.
• Track record of applying ML or statistical methods to real-world business problems.
• Exposure to cloud environments, data pipelines, or machine learning tooling.
