TL;DR
Director of Technology Partnerships (Engineering Software): Owning partner strategy, existing relationships, and new integrations with cloud providers, AI/ML platforms, and simulation ecosystems with an accent on technical evaluation, deal structuring, and revenue generation. Location: US Remote (must currently live in specific US states; only hiring from approved US states)
Salary: $170,000–$190,000 base (OTE $220,000–$250,000 uncapped)

What you will do
- Define and execute partner strategy: prioritize targets across cloud, AI/ML, simulation, PLM, selecting based on strategic value and engineering cost.
- Advance existing partnerships (AWS, GCP, Azure, NVIDIA, PhysicsX, ANSYS) to structured, revenue-generating deals with integrations and co-sell motions.
- Build tiered partner program: set tiers with fees, obligations, co-marketing, support, APIs, and documentation.
- Negotiate commercial agreements: co-sell, revenue share, OEM licensing, marketplace listings.
- Align product/engineering and sales/marketing on partner-driven roadmaps, integrations, and customer messaging.
- Own partnership pipeline and revenue: track sourced/influenced deals in CRM, hit quota from day one (Year 1 adjusted for ramp).
- Manage external relationships at technical (CTO/CPO) and executive levels from first call to ongoing success.
Requirements
- Technical fluency in engineering software, simulation, AI/ML platforms to evaluate integrations and engage partners technically.
- Experience designing partner/developer programs, distinguishing committed partners.
- Track record closing partnerships into revenue with SaaS/platform deal structures.
- Hands-on technical/engineering background combined with partnerships/bizdev in B2B tech.
- Judgment to balance partnership value vs. costs, collaborating across product/engineering.
- Ability to engage CTOs, CPOs, technical directors at partners.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with CAD/CAE/FEA, generative design, additive manufacturing, computational engineering.
- Knowledge of aerospace, defense, propulsion, industrial energy workflows.
- Prior role at AWS, GCP, Azure, NVIDIA, ANSYS, Siemens, etc., with relationships.
- Experience at fast-growing B2B software in ecosystem/platform build-out.
- Translating technical needs between teams and partners.
- Career progression from technical roles to strategic GTM.
