What you will do

• Lead and manage accounting team members, setting expectations, providing feedback, and developing leadership skills.
• Oversee chapter financial needs including bank/investment reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and journal entries.
• Review financial statements, ensure accurate monthly closes, and document variances.
• Monitor performance against budgets and benchmarks, informing chapter leadership of issues.
• Act as primary liaison with chapters, providing reports, analysis, and budget assistance.
• Support annual audits and indirect cost allocations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 3 years in accounting/financial reporting; nonprofit experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years people leadership experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel expertise.
• Salesforce and NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
• CPA designation a bonus; nonprofit knowledge helpful.
