Product Designer (Construction)

Location: Berlin, Germany (hybrid: flexible work from home or office, up to 40 days abroad per year)

What you will do

• Take ownership of product design, advocating user-centered approaches through usability and concept testing with real users in live operations.
• Translate complex flows into clear, tested design solutions tested directly in the field.
• Collaborate with design, product management, research, insights, and engineering teams.
• Contribute to the hirify.global Design Language System for consistency in new components and interactions.
• Share work openly, give and receive feedback to foster a collaborative design culture.
• Expand expertise and responsibility as technology evolves toward autonomous construction.

Requirements

• German language proficiency at B2 level or above is required.
• Degree in Product, Interaction, Visual Design or equivalent, plus at least 4 years of proven product design experience, ideally in startup/entrepreneurial settings.
• Expertise in responsive digital design, visual design principles, and prototyping techniques.
• Proficiency working within and contributing to a structured Design System (component governance, tokens, consistency at scale).
• Comfort using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude, Nano) for research, ideation, and efficiency.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills; strong portfolio with recent high-quality UX/UI work showing impact and versatility (past 3 years).

• Experience bridging digital tools, construction methods, and human workflows.
